The Houston Zen Community is a lay Buddhist Sangha supporting each other
in practice We provide a resource to the community for the
study and practice of Socially Engaged Buddhism.

Zazen, sitting meditation, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm,
Two 20 min sittings period with a short kin hin (walking meditation). Tea Break from 7:00 to 7:15pm
We complete the evening by chanting "The Heart of the Prajnaparamita" in English.
Note: some cushions available; if possible bring your own zafu or bench.
Also, if you want to use chairs they are available.

||We are a small (4-5 regulars) lay group formed by Northwoods members in February '98. We're all "beginners" and welcome anyone interested in starting or furthering their practice and study of Buddhism.
